The Alpaca Registry, Inc.
The Alpaca Registry Inc. is a database housing the genealogy, blood typing, DNA, and ownership records of alpacas in North America and those of a few outside of the area. Since its inception in 1988 The Registry has mandated strict guidelines for registering alpacas in the interest of maintaining the value of the bloodstock / breed. The Registry is a non-profit corporation governed by an elected 5-member board. |

Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association
The Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association was formed in 1988 with the purpose of promoting public awareness and membership appreciation; providing an educational forum for the care and breeding of alpacas; to promote the growth of the industry as a whole, and; foster the establishment of the breed in North America by encouraging herd health, overall soundness and wool production. |

The Alpaca and Llama Show Association
The Alpaca and Llama Show Association was founded in 1986 with the purpose of training judges and defining the criteria for halter / conformation and performance classes as a means for promoting alpa6s and llamas through a show circuit. A.L.S.A. sponsors regional, national and international events, provides publications and hosts a variety of active committees in addition to training, approving and regulating show judges. |

The Alpaca Fiber Co-op of North America was formed in 1997 with the goal of linking producers and consumers by improving and promoting the quality and value of alpaca The Co-op is set up to operate on a service-at-cost basis which in the long run twill be self sustaining and will earn money for its participating members. |

Calpaca
Calpaca was established to create a forum for both new and experienced alpaca breeders. This organization is governed by an elected Board of directors which coordinates quarterly membership meetings with clinics and guest speakers, ranch tours, alpaca shows, publishes a newsletter and a collective marketing effort. |
